Born on April 4, 1983 in St. George, Utah and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Amanda Righetti began her career at age 14 as a model. Her big acting break, a guest role on Fox network's The O.C. in 2003, lead to a starring role as Tessa Lewis on the series, North Shore (2004-2005). In 2008 she won an award in the Short Film category for Best Actress at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival.

Amanda is probably best remembered for her role as Whitney Miller in Michael Bay's remake of Friday the 13th (2009), though she is also known for her portrayal of Grace Van Pelt, a rookie detective on the CBS drama, The Mentalist.

Amanda married movie writer/director Jordan Alan in a small ceremony on Oahu, Hawaii in April of 2006. Their wedding was featured in In Style Wedding Magazine.
